Getting your first invoice out to a client is a milestone. Here's how to do it in eHissab in under two minutes.
Step 1 — Set up your business profile
Before you create your first invoice, make sure your business details are complete. Go to Settings → Business Profile and add:
- Business name and commercial registration number
- VAT registration number (if applicable)
- Logo (PNG or SVG, recommended 200×200px)
- Default currency (OMR for Oman-based businesses)
- Payment terms (e.g. "Due on receipt" or "Net 30")
Your logo and business name will appear on every invoice automatically.
Step 2 — Add your client
Navigate to Clients → Add new client. Fill in:
- Client name (individual or company)
- Email address (for sending invoices)
- Phone number (optional)
- Billing address
eHissab saves all your clients so future invoices are faster — just select from your list.
Step 3 — Create the invoice
Click Invoices → New Invoice. You'll see a clean form:
- Client: Select from your saved clients or add one on the spot
- Invoice date and due date: Set when it's issued and when payment is expected
- Line items: Add products or services. Each row has a description, quantity, unit price, and VAT rate
- Notes: Add any terms, bank details, or a personal message
eHissab calculates totals, VAT, and discounts automatically.
Step 4 — Preview and customise
Click Preview to see exactly how your client will receive the invoice. You can switch templates, adjust the colour scheme to match your brand, and toggle between Arabic and English.
Step 5 — Send it
Click Send Invoice. You can:
- Email it directly from eHissab (no need to open Gmail)
- Generate a PDF to send manually
- Share a payment link — your client clicks it and pays instantly via card or bank transfer
You'll get a notification the moment your client views or pays the invoice.
What's next?
Once your invoice is sent, eHissab tracks its status automatically: Sent → Viewed → Paid. Overdue invoices trigger automatic reminders, so you never have to chase manually again.
